Two and a Half Men actor Ashton Kutcher has revealed how he used to run the largest sports gambling syndicate in America. Ashton says that he would use his dumb actor persona to convince people that he had no idea what he was doing and had more money than sense.
Kutcher told the March Issue of Esquire, "I actually used to be a front for the largest national sports-betting syndicate in America...we were clearing like £484,402 in four weeks of college football. It was pretty fun. Then they caught on. The hypothesis had been that the house would just assume that I was a dumb actor with a lot of money who liked football."
Ashton also spoke about the quality of his movies, saying that he knows when they are bad ot not, as his friends are brutally honest.
He added, "I know exactly what films I've done that f***ing suck donkey. And I know the ones that are good, that people like. And I know it not because of the box office, because the box office is not going to tell you the truth. I know it because I have friends that don't hold back. They don't depend on me for money or employment. They're just friends. Friends tell the truth. My big thing is, Fail fast. If you're going to f**k up, get it over with."
Ashton Kutcher can next be seen on the big screen, moving away from the dumb persona, as he plays Steve Jobs in the movie jOBS, which has been directed Joshua Michael Stern and will open on April 19 in the US. An official release date for the UK has yet to be confirmed.
