Following the success of Tron: Legacy, there has been plenty of talk about the possibility of there being a Tron 3 movie made. Now, Bruce Boxleitner, who played Alan Bradley aka Tron in the first two movies, has been talking about the possibility of reprising his role for another Tron sequel.
Boxleitner was talking to the Coventry Telegraph, when he explained, “I don't know. They say yes, they say no. It's way above my pay grade to be able to tell you that. It's still a money-maker for them (Disney), and it's still a great franchise.”
He added, “They announced it at San Diego Comic-Con, so I'm not speaking out of school here, but it's in development, and development can take a while. We've got to get that creative team back again. I do know they're working on the story concepts and stuff like that.”
It was officially confirmed that the third instalment of the Tron franchise would be fast tracked for release by Disney and that a new screenwriter had been brought on board to help speed things up. As well as that, it is also expected that Garrett Hedlund will reprise his role as Sam Flynn for Tron 3.
