American beauty Gwen Stefani has been working in the music industry for many years now and has become one of the biggest names in the music industry, with millions of fans all around the world. During the course of her long and successful music career, Gwen has worked with plenty of big names, including the very popular Pharrell Williams.
Now, Gwen Stefani has spoken out to praise Pharrell Williams, thanking him for being the person who introduced her to a whole different genre and style of music. These days, Gwen's kids are big fans of Pharrell and his music and the singer herself is also a very big admirer.
Stefani was chatting to the British version of Hello! magazine, when she explained, "Pharrell is a prophet angel to me. The first time we collaborated was for Hella Good with No Doubt. I was like: ‘Come on, guys, it’s hip-hop, and we should try this.’ So we wrote that song and everything changed for us. He had a little lull then came out with three of the biggest songs of the year."
She added, "My kids came home from school going: ‘We love this guy’. I was like: ‘That’s my homie!’ I sent him a video of the kids doing Happy and he wrote back asking if I’d like to go to Coachella and do Hollaback Girl. He’s been amazing ever since."
With Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams still clearly good friends, we would love to see the two stars getting back in the studio together and giving us a new collaboration. How awesome would that be?
