British legend Helen Mirren has worked with some of the biggest and best names that the acting industry has to offer and she next appears on the big screen alongside the likes of Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul, as well as the late, great actor Alan Rickman. Helen has now opened up about working on Eye in the Sky and it sounds like it was a tough shoot
Mirren explained, "Yes, I was in a real concrete bunker for two or three weeks, completely separate from everyone else. Then Aaron and the pilots came in; then the politicians. I was playing basically with Gavin (Hood, director) saying everyone else's lines."
She added, "I never got to work with Alan; I was long gone when he arrived. It was a great pity. It wasn't really the character (which drew me in)... It was the story that I thought was fantastic. I didn't really mind where I was in the film; I just wanted to be a part of it."
For those of you unfamiliar with Eye in the Sky, the movie has been described as "A military officer in command of a drone operation to capture terrorists in Kenya sees her mission escalate from "capture" to "kill" just as a nine-year old girl enters the kill zone."
As well as starring Helen Mirren, Aaron Paul and Alan Rickman, the rest of the cast for Eye in the Sky includes Barkhad Abdi, Iain Glen, and Jeremy Northman. Eye in the Sky is due to hit the big screen on March 11 in the US and then on April 15 in the UK.
