While there has been an age-old debate about men and women being equal, the fact of the matter is they never will, for the simply fact that women have to give birth to the next generation while the men just watch the process. Ask most women, who have had children, about the experience of child-birth and the majority of them will tell you just how painful an experience it is, with some vowing never to do it again.
However, there is one person who loves every minute about being pregnant and giving birth, and that is the beautiful British television presenter Holly Willoughby, who has already had three children of her own. Holly says that she would love to have more children in the future and has even gone as far as to write a book about her experiences with pregnancy, giving birth, and motherhood.
Willoughby was chatting to the British newspaper The Sun, when she told them, "You only hear one side of the story and that’s not very helpful, and lots of women really enjoy it. Don’t get me wrong, there is pain, but it is pain in a different way. I have never felt more alive than after I had given birth, and I don’t know what else compares to that. I don’t want that area of my life to be over because it makes me sad to think I’d not be doing it again. I love being pregnant and I love having babies."
She added, "When I had my first, Harry, I couldn’t believe there were so many things I wasn’t expecting. I kept thinking, ‘Why has no one told me about this? Why is this a massive secret?’ I thought then that one day I’d write a book called It Worked For Me and put down all those things I’ve stumbled across or realised. By the time I had my third child I felt like I had a really good spectrum of different children and different experiences and it felt like it was time to write it all down."
The new Holly Willoughby book is titled Truly Happy Baby: It Worked For Me and is set to hit book shelves on June 16.
