While it is definitely fair to say that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has easily been leading the way on the comic book movie scene, getting a lot of things right along the way, it is also fair to say that they have had a little bit of a villain problem from time to time, something which the fans have been praying they would get right soon, to take the Marvel Cinematic Universe to another level.
Well the time could now be right, with Josh Brolin finally set to give us the villain we have been waiting for, when he takes on the role of Thanos in the new, upcoming movie Avengers: Infinity War, a performance which could be set to steal the show. It is not only the fans who are excited about Thanos either, as the directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo are both excited for the fans to get to see the character.
They shared, "I’m most excited for the audience to learn about [Thanos]. I think he’s a very interesting and complex villain. That’s why I like him, that’s why I’m excited for the audience to learn about him. I think his motivations are, albeit, psychotic, compelling, and I think that this, in a lot of ways, is his movie, so it’s going to be very interesting to see how people respond to Thanos."
It really is going to be interesting to see just how impressive Josh Brolin is as Thanos and we hope that we are not all getting ourselves too excited by the villain, only to be let down when the movie finally arrives. Avengers: Infinity War is set to hit the big screen on April 27 in the UK and then on May 4 in the US.
