Canadian actress Katheryn Winnick is probably best known for her flowing blonde locks, especially due to her impressive performances in Vikings. However, Katheryn plays a brunette in the movie The Art of Steal, something which she found very interesting, as people seemed to treat her differently.
Winnick explained, "It's a fun, comedy heist and Kurt Russell and Matt Dillon are hilarious in it. I play Lola, and it was interesting to try a different look, I had a black wig on. It was interesting to see how the cast and crew reacted to someone differently just by your physical appearance. They had no idea I was blonde." Katheryn also spoke about working with Kurt Russell on the movie.
She added, "Kurt Russell is such a lovely guy, an amazing human being. He's a guy's guy but also a girl's best friend. He's very friendly and happy on set. Being a lead in a movie it's important because that trickles down to the other actors and creates an environment where you can have fun and laugh. And I think, especially for comedy, it was really important to have that free spirit. He was great to work with."
As well as starring Katheryn Winnick, Kurt Russell and Matt Dillon, The Art of Steal also stars Jay Baruchel, Chris Diamantopoulos and Terrence Stamp. Jonathan Sobol wrote and directs the movie The Art of Steal, which does not yet have an official release date.
