There has been a lot of talk about the new movie The Revenant, which has already been earning rave reviews from the critics, which is no surprise when you consider the fantastic cast and brilliant director involved. Actor Leonardo DiCaprio stars in the lead role for The Revenant and it seems that there were a few legal issues surrounding the project.
In one particular scene, Leonardo DiCaprio is seen eating the liver of an animal and, while the crew suggested they use a fake liver, the actor insisted that he actually eat raw bison liver. This request not only had to get cleared by director Alejandro Gonzalez, but it also need the lawyer and agents of the actor to clear the decision.
Everything was eventually cleared and Leonardo DiCaprio went on to eat the real bison liver. The actor recently spoke about eating the liver, revealing the worst part about it, "The bad part is the membrane around it. It's like a balloon. When you bite into it, it bursts in your mouth."
As well as starring Leonardo DiCaprio, the impressive cast of The Revenant also includes Tom Hardy, Domhnall Gleeson, and Will Poulter, among others. The Revenant has been directed by Alejandro Gonzalez, who also had a hand in writing the screenplay for the project, along with Mark L. Smith, with the movie set to hit the big screen on January 8, 2016 in the US, and January 15, 2016 in the UK.
