There have been a lot of television shows over the years, which have started off very strong before eventually running out of ideas and losing its way a little bit. These shows often struggle to realise when it is the right time to give it up and, before it finally comes to an end, these shows have lost many of their fans.
One show which has not fallen into this trap, is the hit CBS comedy series The Big Bang Theory, which first hit our television screens back in 2007 and is still going strong. The Big Bang Theory is now in its seventh season and the show as just as good now as it has ever been, so what is its secret?
Well, it has to be said that the writers of The Big Bang Theory have been able to continue to keep the show fresh with every new season. As well as having a number of different special guest appearances every season, The Big Bang Theory has also managed to bring fresh new characters to the cast.
Melissa Rauch made her first appearance as Bernadette on The Big Bang Theory back in 2009, with Mayim Bialik joining the show as Amy in 2010. These two women made such a good impression, that they were quickly signed up as series regulars, bringing a new fresh feel to the show.
The Big Bang Theory season seven has been on its mid-season break but you can see the return of Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik, along with Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons (who has been tipped to move on to bigger things), Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar, tonight (January 2) on CBS.
