We are just over 24 hours away from the 2015 Oscars and there is a lot of excitement beginning to build up for the big event. While we are really looking forward to seeing which stars will be taking who as their dates, as well as what the stars will be wearing on the red carpet, the biggest points of the night will be seeing which stars win what awards on the night.
Everybody already has their opinions on who they think should win and it is definitely a very competitive year this year. One of the most competitive categories at the Oscars 2015 would have to be for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role award, which has seen the beautiful, talented and successful actress Patricia Arquette getting her first ever nomination.
Patricia Arquette has been in the acting industry for many years now and has given us some fantastic performances in some very exciting projects along the way, so it is surprising that it has taken this long for her to get the recognition that her talent deserves. If Patricia was to win the Oscar for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role, it would certainly be well deserved.
With that said, it will certainly not be a given as Patricia Arquette comes up against some other very talented stars. While Patricia has been nominated for her performance in the movie Boyhood, she will go head to head with the likes of Emma Stone for Birdman, Meryl Streep for Into the Woods, Laura Dern for Wild, and Keira Knightley for The Imitation Game.
The 87th Academy Awards takes place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, February 22.
