We have enjoyed a fairly exciting and successful awards season so far and it has all been building up towards tonight and the Oscars 2015, which is regarded as the biggest awards ceremony of the year. While the stars in Hollywood love to win most awards, every star in the industry dreams of taking home the Academy Award, proving that they are among the best in the business.
The 2015 Oscars have been underway fro a while now and we are really beginning to get into the swing of things, with awards coming thick and fast. The latest award to get handed out is the Best Actress in a Supporting Role, which boasts some of the biggest and best names in the acting industry, making it a very tightly contested affair.
In the running for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role Oscars at this years Academy Awards was Meryl Streep for her offering in the movie Into the Woods, Emma Stone for Birdman, Patricia Arquette for Boyhood, Laura Dern for Wild, and Keira Knightley for The Imitation Game. While there has been mixed opinions as to who would win the award, the winner of the Best Actress in a Supporting Role is Patricia Arquette for her fantastic performance in the movie Boyhood.
As with most of the acceptance speeches, Patricia Arquette thanked all the people who you would expect her to and was careful not to go on for too long with it. Patricia gave a very strong and passionate acceptance speech and went on to talk about the sexual equality issues in America, as well as giving a shoutout to Givelove.org which crashed the site.
