There are so many actors and actresses in Hollywood these days who are testing themselves and giving themselves new challenges, by turning their hand to directing. We have a few Hollywood stars preparing to see their directorial debut getting released in the coming year or so, and it will be interesting to see how these acting talents get on with directing.
One such star, who has decided to take a little step back from her acting career to try her hand at directing, is the beautiful and talented actress Rose McGowan. Most of you will recognise Rose McGowan from her acting work on both the big screen and the small screen, where she has appeared in projects such as Charmed, Planet Terror, and Death Proof, to name just a few.
The Rose McGowan directorial debut is titled Dawn and is a feature-length version of her short movie of the same name. Dawn is currently still in development and there is no word yet as to when production will begin but, what we do already know is that the film has been written by M.A. Fortin and Joshua Miller, with the cast including the likes of Hannah Marks, Tara Lynne Barr, Reiley McClendon.
Dawn has been officially described by Rose McGowan as being "A provocative look at a young girl's budding sexuality in restrictive Kennedy era America." We are big fans of Rose McGowan as an actress and we look forward to seeing what sort of director she is going to be. Dawn has been tipped for a 2015 release and we will keep you posted on the progress of the project.
