Sophie Monk has announced her resignation from the morning show '2Day' claiming that she is 'fed up' going to work early in the morning. Her resignation was interestingly accepted by the producer of the show and her colleagues, Jules Lund and Merrick Watts without much of a fight which has some fans and social media entertainment observers believing that the true reason for her move might be because the show had low ratings and she wanted to "jump off the sinking ship before it sunk to the bottom of the ocean."
The gorgeous blonde did herself no favours when she stated that she wanted to pursue other ventures which would have been acceptable but also used the excuse that she made the move because of the "early morning start times". Upon reading this last statement found in such online entertainment publications such as 'The Guardian' (Oct. 25) some social media entertainment observers started wondering if she had ever worked on a movie set of substance. Often when it comes to the movies or even television shows the hours can be irregular and early morning start times are usually the norm rather than the exception.
She is beautiful and outspoken but she seems to have lost some fans who have to wake up in the early morning to go to work and will likely have to do much work to win some of those fans back.
Her leaving the show '2Day' when she did also has some social media entertainment observers wondering if she has her next project already negotiated and ready to begin the moment she completes her contract at the end of 2014.
Fans of Sophie Monk are crossing their fingers she has a movie project ready for her '2Day' show contract is completed because television show producers might not be so welcoming to an entertainment personality who 'jumped' ship when the holes started emerging rather than try and fix the holes so the ship can continue sailing.
