When we first saw the young sweet and innocent actress Taylor Momsen in the hit television series Gossip Girl, we never would have believed you if you had have told us that she was going to become the lead singer of a rock band and a become a very sexualised young woman. However, following her success as an actress, Taylor is now enjoying success as a singer.
Taylor Momsen is the lead singer of the band The Pretty Reckless, who have been enjoying success with the release of their latest album Going to Hell, which managed to sell over 35,000 records in its first week in the US, which took it to number five on the Billboard 200. Taylor has now spoken about the album, revealing the best way for fans to listen to the record.
Momsen explained, "I think you just got to listen to it. It's kind of like describing a painting that you haven't finished. I tend to say nothing, and I like the listener to go in with an open mind of having no preconceived notions or anything convoluting what they're hearing for the first time."
She added, "I think this record is definitely meant to be listened to from front to back. I think the best scenario would be to listen to it like a (PINK) FLOYD record: Go in your room with the light turned out, front to back. These are not three-minute pop songs, so the more you listen to the songs, the more you're going to understand and discover new things in them."
The Pretty Reckless are currently on their world tour to promote their new album and still have a lot more dates left between now and November 8, when their tour finally comes to an end.
