Our list of the top 10 video games that are looking to become big screen adaptations continues today, as we make it to number seven on the list. Yesterday we gave you a look at the plans to bring the movie Splinter Cell to the big screen and today we move on to the next one.
While the movie Hitman has already been made into a movie in the past, with Timothy Olyphant starring in the lead role of the 2007, it proved less than successful so, rather than make a sequel, it was decided that the franchise would be put to rest for a while.
Then it was announced that they planned to make a new Hitman movie, calling the film Agent 47 and acting as a reboot to the Hitman franchise. It was decided that Fast and Furious star Paul Walker would take on the role left by Olyphant and shooting was scheduled to take place this Summer.
Agent 47 would act as an origins story, showing how our red tie, black suited hero became the Hitman that we know and love. Unfortunately, the project seems to have stalled some, with production yet to begin and even talk of Paul Walker leaving the project. This one could take some time to hit the big screen but it does seem likely to happen in the future.
